Fast Facts:
What: ISO/ AS9100 (+mandatory Rev. D) Internal Auditor Training
When: Sept. 7 & 8
Where: UAPTC Airport Location (3303 E. Roosevelt, Little Rock, AR)
Cost: $300/person (includes training/certification, materials, and lunch both days)
Why: Significantly cheaper than out-of-state training, fully trained for mandatory Rev. D changes, perfect opportunity for new auditors to train, and current ones to meet the new standard.
Who: Anyone interested in learning internal auditing practices; current auditors seeking further education.
This special two-day seminar will train and certify staff for internal auditing. The program focuses on providing economical cost-effective (as well as local!) training to companies who utilize the ISO/ AS9100 Quality Management system. The course also provides understanding and training concerning the upcoming changes to AS9100 Rev. D.
Gina Radke, current President and CEO of AADA clearly states, “the training is beneficial because most auditors have to leave the state to be trained, or bear the burden of the entire cost of two-day training.” She mentions that the cost of sending her own staff to become certified was about $1,500/person, not including the travel! Considering the cost, the AADA has done its utmost to ensure this training can be cost-effective without sacrificing education.
Course instructors for this program have a minimum of two years in the aerospace industry, working for an airframe manufacturer or supplier, as well as a minimum of ten years of industry internal auditing.
The course will include interpreting the AS9100:2016 requirements within an audit scenario, identifying the attributes of a process based audit, identifying audit questions that result in evidence, identifying discrepancies in an audit scenario, pinpointing the attributes of a successful audit and much more.
As part of the AADA’s mission to continually provide education, this program aims to qualify additional staff to conduct internal audits and provide critical knowledge/feedback for their companies. This is just the beginning of what AADA has in store for its members. Though the first of its kind, future training opportunities like this are sure to appear on the horizon.
