AADA Offers Affordable ISO-AS9100 Internal Auditor Training
Thursday, 27 April 2017 13:19A valuable training opportunity offered to internal auditors within the AADA is set to kick off this fall.
The first training of its kind for the AADA, there will be a special one-time two day training for internal auditors. The course provides a more affordable alternative to traveling out-of- state for training that is essential to augmenting and sustaining existing programs.
The program focuses on providing low cost, local training to companies who utilize the ISO/ AS9100 Quality Management system. The training will not only provide insight to the upcoming changes to AS9100 Rev D, but train internal auditors for each company.
“The training is beneficial because most auditors have to leave the state to be trained or bear the burden of the entire cost of two day training,” said Gina Radke, CEO of AADA.
This course has been designed and available to future and present time, internal auditors of Management Systems, and will provide training in the principles of current interpretation of the requirements as related to Management System standards and the ISO 19011 audit guideline document.
As part of the AADA’s mission to continually provide education, the program aims to qualify additional staff to conduct internal audits and provide critical knowledge for staff and management. This is just the beginning of what AADA has in store for its members in regard to training a qualified workforce and eventually consigning duties to future members.
Course instructors have a minimum of two years in the Aerospace industry working for an airframe manufacturer or supplier as well as a minimum of 10 years aerospace/management systems auditing experience.
The Arkansas Aerospace and Defense Alliance with partial funding from the State Office of Skills Development will be providing the training September 7th and 8th, at the UAPTC Airport location - 3303 East Roosevelt Little Rock Ar. There is a participation fee of $300 that includes two-day training, materials and lunch both days.
The course will include interpreting the AS9100:2016 requirements within an audit scenario, identifying the attributes of a process based audit, identifying audit questions that result in evidence, identifying nonconformities in an audit scenario, identifying the attributes of a successful audit and much more.
